Joy Fm 96.5 Otukpo has won the award of Most Listened Indigenous Radio Station in West Africa, organized by the West African Citizens Awards (WAFRIC).
The Station emerged winner at the event held at the Genesis Hotels and Suites, Ibadan, after trumping six other radio stations in an online contest that cut across other reputable stations in West Africa.
Mr. Hassan Hussain Ayodeji, founder of WAFRIC Awards, noted that the award was to honour Indeginous products in West Africa who have contributed positively to the development of the society through their various platforms, stating that the 2019 edition was the third edition.
The award was received by Mr. David Sapele Junior (DJ SAP) and Mr. Ramsey Agbo (Sports Machine) on behalf of the Organization.
In a statement, Managing Director of Joy Fm, Mrs. Christabel Ebugo Ogli Iyanya extend her profound gratitude to the organisers, those who nominated her Station particularly Nigerians and other Africans who voted her Station to emerged winner.
Mrs. Iyanya also said that the award has challenge them to do more by exhibiting more professionalism in the coming year.
She also noted that the Organization was open to partnerships with other reputation organizations across board.
