This year’s Easter came with double blessing for the women in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State as renowned philanthropist, Chief Philip Agbese commenced disbursement of his empowerment grant tagged “Bizness Moni” to 100 women across the 13 electoral wards of the local government area.

Presenting the N20,000 cash to each of the beneficiary on behalf of Chief Agbese at the Och’Otukpa Palace, Barr Akor Ikwuoche urged the recipients to use the fund for any small business of their choice.

He said Agbese was moved by the plight of some rural women who want to do petty businesses like buying and processing of cassava into garri, palm fruits into oil, corn into pap but could not raise such small money to do such business.

Akor added that Agbese will continue to help the rural women within his constituency to create wealth and live well through small and medium scale businesses.

The Traditional Ruler of Otukpa, Chief Sunday Ekele, who formally received the money and distributed to the beneficiaries in his Palace, thanked Agbese for coming to the aid of Ogbadibo.

On ground to receive the Okanga team were some prominent traditional and political leaders from the local government, including Hon Fab Agada, former Chairman of Ogbadibo local government.
