Former chairman of Okpokwu LGA, Julie Obetta, ex-House of Assembly aspirant, Arc. Eric Adokwu and Simon Egahi have made the list of the commissioner-nominees submitted by Gov. Hyacinth Alia of Benue State.
Alia submitted the list to the state assembly on Thursday but the Speaker, Hyacinth Dajoh refused to unveil the names.
However, a list making the rounds on social media showed that four persons made the cut from Benue South.
Meanwhile, a member of the state assembly, Berger Alfred Emberga has explained why the list was not revealed to the general public.
He said, “Earlier today the 10th Benue State House of assembly had an emergency sitting where we received a letter from the Executive Governor of Benue State Rev. Fr Dr Hyacinth Alia asking us to screen and also confirmed 14 number commissioner nominees.
The list of the commissioner nominees were attached to the letter but considering how short the time was, the House unanimously resolved to unveil the names at its later plenary.”
