Senator Abba Patrick Moro has congratulated the first female President of Jos University Medical Students Association (JUMSA), Comrade Mary Ehi Ekoja.
Ehi, a constituent of the Senator, was elected President of the association in their recently-held election, breaking the over 40-year jinx, as the first female President.
In a congratulatory letter he personally signed, Senator Moro said, “Your victory is a testament of your intelligence and political sagacity, and a proof that what man can do a woman can do also and even better.
“I am proud of you and the people of Benue South are equally proud of you because you are making them proud. You have broken a jinx of many years by being the first female President of the association. We are not surprised because Benue South doesn’t carry last.”
To appreciate and encourage young Ehi, the Distinguished Senator has graciously offered to pay her final year school fees.
