Kaduna: NSCDC commandant warns officers against job racketeering

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has issued a stern warning to its officers in Kaduna State, vowing to dismiss any personnel found involved in job racketeering.

Speaking to staff at the NSCDC State Headquarters in Kaduna on Monday, Commandant Muhammadu Dansadau, represented by Deputy Commandant Kalu Ndukwe, emphasized the Corps’ role in safeguarding Nigerians and the urgent need to address the growing issue of job racketeering and financial scams. He revealed that investigations have uncovered alarming cases of such activities in the state.

“It is our collective responsibility to act as a shield against these threats,” Dansadau urged.

The Commandant also called on officers involved in racketeering to immediately desist, describing the behavior as a serious violation of the Corps’ values.

“This command under my leadership will not tolerate any form of misconduct or betrayal of public trust. Officers found guilty will face the full consequences of their actions,” he stated.

He further encouraged personnel to establish clear reporting channels for any instances of misconduct, stressing that fraud and crime are societal issues that require a proactive and united response.
