In the last month, the Kaduna State Police Command has apprehended 13 individuals suspected of involvement in kidnapping and engaged in fatal altercations with four others.
During a press briefing in Kaduna on Thursday, ASP Nasir Hassan, the acting Public Relations Officer, revealed these developments. He explained that the arrests were executed based on actionable intelligence, with the police resorting to lethal force in four separate incidents.
Hassan further revealed that the command had successfully detained around 10 alleged members of the notorious street gang, commonly referred to as Sara-Suka. Among the items confiscated from the suspects were two AK-47 rifles, three locally crafted revolvers, two motorcycles, and 15 live rounds of ammunition. Additionally, authorities seized three mobile phones and three bags containing dried leaves suspected to be hemp.
Hassan emphasized that once the investigations conclude, all suspects would face legal charges in court.
