The identity of the school affected by Sabon Gari blast in Kano has been revealed.
Dozens of children are feared dead after a huge explosion hit Aba road in Kano metropolis.
The blast, IDOMA VOICE gathered, affected a school identified as Winner’s Academy in the Sabon Gari area of Kano state at around 9 am on Monday as hundreds of schoolchildren headed to class.
IDOMA VOICE reported that an explosion suspected to be bomb blast killed several persons including school children.
However, the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Sama’ila Dikko, has debunked reports of bomb blast in Kano metropolise.
He said it was a gas cylinder that exploded in Sabon Gari area of Kano State this morning and not bomb as widely speculated.
