Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho secured a brace on Saturday as his team defeated a side led by Jay Jay Okocha to claim victory in the inaugural Attom Championship Cup in Abuja.
Iheanacho was instrumental in breaking down the defense led by former Super Eagles captain Jay Jay Okocha, scoring two goals and winning a penalty that led to their team’s fourth goal.
The match ended 4-1 in favor of his team, which was led by ex-international, Kany Nwankwo.
The Charity Champions Cup Competition, organised by Attom Yahaya, was a groundbreaking event in the federal capital territory, drawing an electrifying atmosphere that attracted numerous dignitaries from various walks of life.
Notable attendees included Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Vincent Enyeama, Kenneth Omeruo, Ogenyi Onazi, Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Chidozie Awaziem, Samuel Chukwueze, Stanley Nwabali, Kelechi Iheanacho, comedians AY, Brother Shaggi, Brain Jotter, Warri Pikin, and Attom Yahaya.
Foreign football stars Robert Pires, Sol Campbell, George Boateng, Emmanuel Eboue, Louis Saha, Claudio Makelele, Mark Fish, and others also graced the occasion.
Victor Osimhen was present but unable to participate due to an injury he is recovering from.
