Kenneth Omeruo signs for Kasımpaşa

Kasımpaşa, the Turkish Super Lig team, has made it official – Kenneth Omeruo, the former Chelsea central defender, is back! The club confirmed the signing, but specific details about Omeruo’s contract, such as its duration and financial terms, have not been disclosed.

Earlier reports from Allnigeriasoccer.com had hinted at Omeruo’s return to Kasımpaşa S.K. for the third time in his career during this summer transfer window. Despite receiving a tempting offer from a Saudi Pro League club, the Super Eagles star opted to return to the Turkish Super Lig and turned down the lucrative opportunity.

The signing ceremony was held at Kasimpasa’s Turgay Ciner Sports Facilities, where Omeruo put pen to paper after successfully completing a medical examination at Liv Hospital Vadi Istanbul.

This won’t be Omeruo’s first stint with Kasımpaşa, as he had previously enjoyed two loan spells at the club while he was with Chelsea, making a total of 54 appearances for the Istanbul-based team. In the Turkish topflight, Omeruo has accumulated 79 appearances for two different clubs, with 26 of them being for Alanyaspor during the 2016-2017 season.

Despite having one year remaining on his contract with CD Leganes, a Spanish LaLiga 2 team, they have decided to part ways with Omeruo.
