Keyamo hails PEPT judgement, tells Peter Obi, Atiku what to do

The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has responded to the defeat suffered by the presidential candidates of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday.

Obi and Atiku had challenged the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election. However, the Tribunal’s judgment did not rule in their favor, marking a significant setback in their legal battle to unseat Tinubu.

Keyamo, who has been a staunch supporter of President Tinubu, advised Atiku and Obi to “come to their senses” and embrace the current administration. He reflected on various issues that had been raised during the campaigns and post-campaigns, stating that the Tribunal’s ruling had vindicated their stance.

In a message shared on a platform called X, Keyamo expressed his satisfaction with the judicial validation of their claims and congratulated President Tinubu for this vindication. He urged Atiku and Obi to recognize the ruling and consider engaging with Tinubu’s government in the spirit of national reconciliation.
