Kidnappers hijack fully loaded vehicle on Ogobia–Adoka road, kill driver, abduct passengers
Suspected kidnappers have hijacked a commercial vehicle in Benue State, killing the driver and abducting all passengers on board.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the incident happened over the weekend along the Ogobia–Adoka road in Otukpo Local Government Area.
Sources said the gunmen laid an ambush, forced the fully loaded vehicle off the road into the bush, and shot the driver identified as Arrow of God from Aila community in Agatu LGA before taking the passengers away.
The latest attack comes less than three weeks after armed men, believed to be robbers, attacked two police officers at a checkpoint along the same Ogobia–Adoka Road.
The officers, Inspector Amos Okoh and Inspector Joseph Adowebo, were reportedly on routine patrol when they were assaulted by the gunmen.
