Bello Shagari, youth advocate and grand son of former President Shehu Shagari, has described as barbaric, unIslamic, the gruesome murder of Deborah Samuel.
Deborah, believed to be in her 20s, was lynched and burnt for insulting the Prophet Mohammed.
The deceased was until her death a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Wamako in Sokoto State.
Reacting, Shagari said the mob action against the lady in Sokoto is most unfortunate and completely condemned.
He tweeted, “Any mob action anywhere killing anyone for any reason is wrong, barbaric and un-Islamic. The sooner our ulama wakes up to educate people on sensitive issues like these the better.”
