Kogi election: They attempted to kill me four times – Dino Melaye

Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the upcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi State, disclosed surviving four assassination attempts within the state.

Melaye shed light on the prevalent tension that has gripped Kogi since the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) assumed power seven years ago in a revealing interview with Arise Television on Thursday, D.

Melaye stated, “I have survived four assassination attempts; I have had 12 court cases of FG vs. Dino Melaye, and I have been attacked severally. It is not new, as it is in the DNA of the APC to be violent.”

He described Kogi State as an “evil forest” desperately in need of immediate redevelopment and a messiah to lead the way. Melaye expressed his hope to alleviate the suffering of the people residing in the state.

According to the former senator, the state’s current situation is unprecedented, emphasizing that it has never been this dire in Kogi’s history. He highlighted how the All Progressives Congress, since assuming power in the state, has managed to polarize and divide the populace, leading to significant disunity.

Melaye underlined the PDP’s agenda, focusing on reuniting the state and promoting a sense of unity among its people, encapsulated in the campaign slogan “One Kogi, One Destiny.”
