Kogi Guber: NYCN hails Natasha’s emergence as SDP candidate

National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has called on youths and women to rally support for Barr. Natasha Akpoti, the governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the November 16 Kogi poll.

In a congratulatory message signed by Kelvin Eleta, Chief Press Secretary to the NYCN President, the apex youth body is well assured of Natasha’s capacity to deliver of her campaign manifestos without fear of failure.

He hailed Natasha’s emergence as SDP governorship candidate, describing her courage and steadfast faith in Kogi as exemplary.

“On behalf of the Nigerian Youths, the apex youth body in the country, I congratulate Natasha Akpoti, the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) for the November 16th governorship election in Kogi State. Natasha Akpoti emerged as the party’s flag bearer in a free and fair primary elections conducted in the state on August 29th.

“Been a woman and well polished politician; refined with a wealth of experience to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi State,
As the only woman and youngest in the race, time for youths and women in Kogi State to rally round their own is now.

“With reference to her track records relating to philanthropic gestures, Natasha Akpoti has proven to have the good interest of her people at heart and has shown he can be taken seriously.

“The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) therefore salute her courage as a woman, for submitting herself to be use as a tool of transformation in the mission of birthing a new Kogi State,” he said.

NYCN called on youth and women in Kogi State not to let one of their own undertake the huge task of transformation alone.

“Every support needed to ensure the victory of Natasha Akpoti should henceforth be a priority to all youths and women in the state ahead of the governorship election slated for 16th November, 2019.”

The National Youth Council of Nigeria urged all the youths to be law abiding and all forms of violence be avoided, in order to have a free and fair elections both in Kogi and Bayelsa states.
