Kwande traditional council supports removal of illegal tax points

Efforts of the Benue Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) to end illegal tax points have continued to receive support as the Kwande Traditional Council has also thrown its support behind the decision.

This was made known when the Executive Chairman, Mr. Andrew Ayabam paid a visit to the traditional council during his facility inspection visit of the Adikpo Area Tax Office.

While throwing his weight behind the removal illegal tax points, the Chairman Kwande Traditional Council, HRH. Chief Ambrose Iortyer, commended Ayabam’s efforts at sanitizing the tax system in the state.

Chief. Iortyer who also gave Ayabam his blessings, said the recent reforms were part of what has brought dignity back to agriculture in the rural areas as price of farm produce is gradually rising back to reasonable amounts.

On his part, the Executive Chairman thanked the traditional council for its support and promised to intensify in his efforts to ensure the sanitation
