A trending video has shown the moment unidentified armed men beat up the chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos.
According to reports, the incident took place in the Mile 12 area of the state on Sunday amid rumours of cult clashes in the region.
It was further disclosed that operatives of the Rapid Response Squad responded to the mayhem.
The video clip posted on social media shows the victim being hit repeatedly with dangerous objects by the assailants gathered around him.
Closer scrutiny also shows that the attackers focused on the man’s head during the attack, leading to his death.
