Laliga: Chukwueze to perform ritual rite today

In a bid to gain favour ahead of the forthcoming Spanish Laliga season, Villarreal star, Samuel Chukwueze will today join other members of his club side to perform a mandatory ritual rite in a Spanish based Catholic church.

The Yellow Submarine, via official twitter handle, disclosed this yesterday while bracing for the season opener away to Real Valladolid.

Having achieved an enviable feat which saw the Unai Emery side qualify for the semifinal stage of last season UEFA Champions league, the club believes giving out offers will attract good fortune while filling out for league action and other tourney.

“We will take part in the traditional offering to the patron saints of Vila-real this Thursday (today),” the club wrote, portraying an image of a church altar.

Chukwueze inspired Villarreal to 7th on the league season. He further showed his worth by netting a screamer that sent European giant, Bayern Munich, home in last UEFA Champions League quarterfinal campaign.
