Al-Nassr have formally concluded the signing of Aymeric Laporte from Manchester City, sealing the deal for a sum of £23.6 million.
The announcement was made by the Saudi Pro League club through its X account (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.
Sharing a video of Laporte donning the club’s jersey, Al-Nassr tweeted, “The Aymeric’s signature, Yes, He is Laporte.”
Laporte’s transition to Al-Nassr situates the 29-year-old defender in the company of notable players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane at the Saudi club.
Facing limited playing time at Manchester City during the previous season under manager Pep Guardiola, Laporte’s involvement was minimal. He made only 12 Premier League appearances and was notably absent from the squad in the recent 1-0 triumph over Newcastle United.
