1. The Benue State Police Command has arrested a man, Bemdoo Atoba, for allegedly burning down a block of classrooms at a school in the Gwer East Local Government Area of the state.
The arsonist allegedly burnt down the block at RCM Primary School, Moi-Igbo, Mbalom, Gwer East, after stealing a computer from the school.
2. A 9-year-old girl by the name Precious Korshima has been beaten to death by the woman she lived with at Fidelity Estate Enugu.
The suspect, Mrs. Ujunwa Ugwoke confessed to the crime saying that after killing she dumped her corpse in the bush along Port Harcourt expressway immediately after the military checkpoint at the University Of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Ituku Ozala Enugu State.
3. The Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu, has expressed the willingness of the ministry to provide technical assistance to Atilo-Oglewu community of Ohimini Local Government of Benue State in order to address its acute water scarcity.
Adamu made this promise at the launch of the one billion Naira water project and the celebration of an Idoma musical Icon, Madam Alice Igbe Oklobia on Thursday.
