1. Tragic Truck Crash in Okete Village
   A speeding truck crashed into a residential building in Okete Village along the Otukpo-Adoka road, Benue State, early yesterday. Eyewitnesses reported that the victims, who were asleep, had no chance to escape as the truck veered off the road, destroying part of the building.

2. Man Commits Suicide Over Land Crisis in Makurdi
   A middle-aged man, Tartor Ayihe, from the Ayihe community near the International Market in Makurdi, committed suicide by ingesting an insecticide. The tragic incident, which occurred Wednesday evening, is believed to be linked to a dispute involving the sale of a plot of land to multiple buyers.

3. Governor Alia Appoints New Pilgrims Welfare Board Chairman
   Governor Hyacinth Alia has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Adamu as Chairman of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board. The appointment takes immediate effect, according to the governor’s spokesperson, Tersoo Kula.
