1. It has been confirmed that Mr Bernard Ogbu, who was arrested by the defunct SARS’ operatives led by one ASP FELIX ONUOHA on the 3rd March, 2019 is dead.
The confirmation of Mr Bernard Ogbu’s death was made by the embattled ASP FELIX ONUOHA at the meeting organized between the family of Mr Bernard Ogbu and their lawyer, Barrister NAPOLEON OTACHE and the police detectives at the office of the CRU at the Police Headquarters, Abuja on the 17th November, 2022.
2. The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Moro, on Saturday joined thousands of other well-wishers to celebrate the Methodist Prelate, His Eminence Oliver Ali Aba.
The event was the grand reception organized in honor of the recently installed Prelate at Olachagbaha-Otukpa, in Ogbadibo LGA.
3. A member of the Benue State Community Volunteer Guards was reportedly killed, on Tuesday, during a gun battle between the police and suspected kidnappers, who abducted passengers of a commercial vehicle near Otukpa in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.
It was gathered that the armed men had, at about 3pm, barricaded the Ugbokolo-Otukpa road and abducted the passengers in the commercial bus and whisked them into the bush, firing gunshots to scare other road users and the locals away.
4. Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has given reasons why the South should produce the President in 2023.
He said for the purpose of justice, equity and fairness, it will be right for a Southerner to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari after eight years of Presidency from the north.
5. The chairman of Ado local government area of Benue State, James Oche, has said the renewed crisis between Effium and Ezza communities in Benue and Ebonyi states had claimed over 30 lives.
This was contained in a letter addressed to the Benue State government where he highlighted the activities of criminals terrorising the state, including the renewed hostilities within Effium and Ezza communities.
6. Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has continued to drag the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, accusing him of building a private university in Benue State within one year in office.
Wike challenged Ayu to sue him insisting that the PDP Chairman is corrupt and lacked the moral rectitude to lead him and Rivers people to any campaign.
