1. The All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant, Professor Terhemba Shija on whose case the appellate court ordered fresh primary in Benue State has promised to proceed to Supreme Court.
In a statement issued by the director general of his campaign, James Mbachiantim, said after due consultations with stakeholders and his lawyers, he has decided to appeal against the judgement of the Court of Appeal delivered on Monday, 23rd January, 2023.
2. A bomb blast suspected to be an airstrike Wednesday hits a community in the Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa leaving no fewer than 40 people killed

The blast vanguard gathered was targeted at people suspected to be bandits who have been terrorizing the residents along the border areas of Nasarawa and Benue states.
3. The Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has confirmed that there was a bomb blast in a community close to the border between Nasarawa and Benue states.
The governor who revealed this while speaking to journalists on Wednesday narrated that the bombing incident happened on Tuesday at a place where a sizable number of cattle was kept.

5. Benue State government has donated N50 million for the construction of a 30-room accommodation at the state secretariat of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
Governor Samuel Ortom, who announced the donation during the commissioning of the multi-purpose secretariat of CAN in Makurdi, reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to religious tolerance and harmony and commended the unity that exists among the various Christian blocks in the state.
6. As part of efforts towards economic empowerment for youths of Benue State, Governor Samuel Ortom has presented start-up kits to 43 youths of the state trained in automobile maintenance at the Innoson Kiara Academy, Nnewi.
Governor Ortom who performed the ceremony Tuesday, January 24th, 2023 at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi, also presented official vehicles to 23 Deputy Chairmen of Local Government Councils in the state and 8 buses to various Labour Unions and organizations in the state to facilitate their operations.

The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has joined the National Assembly in calling on the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN to extend its January 31st deadline for use of the old Naira currency notes.
Governor Ortom bared his mind Wednesday, January 25th, 2023 when he received the Governing Council of the Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, led by its chairman,Hon. Edith Chidinma Uwajimogu who led a delegation of the Council and Management of the University to pay a courtesy call on the Governor at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi.
