1. The Court of Appeal in Makurdi has ordered the All Progressives Congress, APC, to conduct a fresh primary election in 11 out of the 23 local government areas of Benue State for the nomination of its gubernatorial candidate.
The affected local governments are, Gboko, Gwer- East, Gwer-West, Guma, Katsina-Ala, Logo, Makurdi, Otukpo, Ukum, Tarka and Vandeikya.
2. ubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has described those using Alia/Ode Campaign Organisation to collect details of voters in the forthcoming elections as mischief-makers.
Alia, who dismissed himself from those embarking on that act, urged party members to disregard the forms used by the mischief makers.

3. A 19-year-old apprentice, Sekegh Aku, was allegedly stabbed to death by his 17-year-old friend in Benue State.
The incident happened at Tomahar Street in the Gboko Local Government Area of the state after a minor argument between the deceased and the suspect identified as Torver Kunav.
4. The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has appealed to industrial unions particularly the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Benue State University chapter to shelve its planned industrial action.
The Governor who spoke on Sunday during a Thanksgiving Mass in his honour held at the BSU Good Shepherd Catholic Chaplaincy, Makurdi, enjoined the unions to always explore other ways of resolving issues with the management of the university and the state government.
5. Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has expressed regrets over the continued silence of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration over killings in Benue State by herders.
Ortom insisted that the Federal Government was protecting killer herders who have continued to perpetrate unprovoked killings in Benue State.
6. The Executive Secretary of Benue State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, Dr. Emmanuel Shior, Friday, wept uncontrollably when he alongside the Benue State Commissioner of Police, Wale Abass and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Col. Paul Hemba (retd.) visited Abagena community where two Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, a family of six and one other were Thursday night gruesomely killed by suspected armed herdsmen.
7. Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has accused the Federal Government of complicity in herdsmen attacks on citizens of the state, saying the wanton killings has been his pain since 2015.
He made the accusation Sunday, when he paid a visit to victims of recent herdsmen attacks at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp at Abagena.
