1. The Chairman of the Benue Internal Revenue Service, BIRS, Mrs. Mimi Adzape-Orubibi, weekend, disclosed that over 100 persons have been arrested and arraigned for operating illegal tax collection points across the state.

Mrs. Adzape-Orubibi said more arrests are being made to ensure that the criminal elements harassing traders and well as businessmen and women on Benue highways are brought to justice.

2. Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom says the main thrust of the five Governors in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP known as G-5 is to ensure justice, equity and fairness in Nigeria.

Governor Ortom stated this Friday, November 11th, 2022 in Enugu during a banquet and command performance put together by the Enugu State Government for members of the G-5 Governors who are in the state to flag off the party’s campaign ahead of the 2023 elections.

3. Samuel Ortom, governor of Benue, says the demand of his colleagues in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not personal but for the interest of Nigerians.

Ortom said this on Friday, when Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, governor of Enugu, hosted him alongside Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers and Okezie Ikpeazu, governor of Abia.

4. The Senator representing Benue North-East Senatorial District, Dr. Gabriel Suswam PhD, today promised more federal presence in his senatorial zone of reelected in 2023.

He also made it known that the governor of Benue state, Chief Samuel Ortom and the senator representing Benue South, Abba Moro, should be elected as senators for their respective zones in 2023.

5. The College of Agronomy, Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi (JOSTUM), Benue State formerly known as the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi (FUAM) is set to release a new variety of cowpea, known as FUAMPEA 5.

The College also noted that as part of efforts to boost food production, the release of the improved variety would enable farmers to get bumper harvests in the state and across the country.
