News One reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) disclosed that the registration for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (2023 UTME) will commence from Saturday, January 14 to Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Direct Entry registration would commence from Monday, 20th February to Thursday, 20th April 2023.
It was further revealed that the 2023 main UTME will hold from Saturday, 29th April 2023, to Monday, 12th May 2023 while the 2023 mock exam will hold on March 16th, 2023. JAMB 2023 Official Registration And Exams Date Announced
Candidates will be expected to pay the sum of N1000 service charge to the Computer-Based Test centres for the conduct of mock examination at the point of registration to prevent a situation where candidates would indicate their interest to sit the mock-UTME leading the various centres to commit human and material resources only for them to stay away on the day of the examination.

Newsone Nigeria reports that as part of its measure to ensure seamless 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME) Registration through the elimination of bottlenecks, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has informed prospective candidates that they can generate their profile code now, and save such for use when registration commenced.This advice was contained in a statement made available to the JAMB bulletin as part of the buildup to the commencement of the 2023 UTME registration billed to start in the next couple of weeks
No extension of UTME registration – Oloyede
The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, on Friday said there would not be an extension of time for the registration for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The one-month registration window for the UTME ends on February 14 and Oloyede, who spoke during an inspection tour of some JAMB computer-based centres in Osogbo, Osun State, said the inspection was to ensure that there was no extortion of the clients.
Some parents in some of the centres visited had sought an extension of time for the registration, saying challenges posed by the redesign of naira notes which had caused a scarcity of cash, had prevented them from purchasing the personal identification number for their wards.
But the JAMB boss said, “I go round the country to monitor the registration exercise and particularly call the attention of those committing infractions; we receive reports about what is going on in the state.
UTME: JAMB nabs corps member, others over registration infractions
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Monday announced that it caught some culprits who were engaged in registration infractions for the 2023 registration process of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry examinations.
This was made known in a statement issued by the board by the head of media and publicity, Dr Fabian Benjamin.
IDOMA VOICE reports that the board had earlier noted that it would not allow infractions and other forms of impersonation during the 2023 registration exercise.
While giving details in the statement, the board said, “The 2023 Registration Monitoring Team of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board led by its Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, was in Kano State earlier in the week, where the team nabbed the registration officers of some accredited Computer-Based Test Centres for registration infractions.
“One of the culprits, a corp member, who is serving at the Federal College of Education, Kano, and engaged by the College PTDF-ICT CBT Centre; and a graduate of Engineering, who also works at the Centre as a registration officer, were caught after they had added one of their fingers to complete the ten fingers of some candidates they registered.
