In the Latest NPower News for today Wednesday 29th January 2025 we explore the current status of the Npower program and its participants in the aftermath of the program’s restoration.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reintroduced the N-Power scheme with immediate reforms aimed at enhancing the program’s effectiveness in poverty alleviation.
According to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Nentawe Yilwatda, the reform will link youths directly to the market space and private sector, ensuring that the skills they acquire lead to viable job opportunities.
Tinubu’s Social Media Assistant, Dada Olusegun, shared on X that over 100,000 items have already been procured to support the empowerment of youth nationwide. The reform also includes the approval of N32.7 billion for the implementation of the National Social Investment Program in 2025.
Additionally, cooperative clusters will offer low-interest credits ranging from N300,000 to N400,000, aimed at helping vulnerable Nigerians—especially women and youth—launch or expand small businesses, thereby improving their livelihoods.
The 2025 initiative is part of the administration’s efforts to fulfill its #RenewedHope Agenda and provide tangible rewards for Nigerians amidst ongoing economic reforms.
