Leader of bandits who killed 37 people in Idoma community finally arrested


Suspected leader of the terrorists group who attacked Igama, a rural community in Benue State in June, killing 37, residents has been arrested.

Igama, an agrarian community, located in Okpokwu Local Government area, is 160 kilometres from Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

IDOMA VOICEIDOMA VOICE recalls that the gunmen had on Sunday morning of June 12 invaded the community while residents were preparing for church and unleashed the mayhem.

The arrested suspect gave his name as Onogwu Otokpa, a farmer.

Otokpa is said to be a native of Ulayi in Ado LG.

Elder Noah McDickson who shared the video of the arrested suspect, said investigation is still ongoing.
