Leaked WhatsApp Bedroom Audio of Methodist Reverend stirs controversy

An unfortunate incident has come to light within the United Methodist Church, where Reverend Oscar Mukahanana, a prominent figure, tragically took his own life following the exposure of his extramarital affair on the church’s WhatsApp group.

Oscar Mukahanana, who held the position of Harare East District Superintendent in Zimbabwe, became embroiled in an affair with a young female member of the congregation. Regrettably, an audio recording of their clandestine meeting and conversation found its way onto the church’s WhatsApp group.

In this audio, he disturbingly expressed his satisfaction for engaging in an intimate encounter with the young woman just before her menstrual cycle began, a revelation that shocked many within the church community.

After the audio was leaked to the WhatsApp group, Mukahanana became the subject of ridicule and mockery by his fellow church members. They not only shared the recording with other groups but also created memes that derided the District Superintendent for his involvement in the adultery scandal.

Overwhelmed by humiliation and shame, Mukahanana tragically took his own life on a fateful Friday. In response to this tragic event, the UMC Harare District released a statement, saying, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved District Superintendent, Rev. Oscar Mukahanana of the Harare East District. The Office of the Bishop will be keeping the church informed regarding further developments and funeral arrangements. As a church, we kindly request your support for the Mukahanana family through your prayers during this difficult time.”
