Bronny James, the talented son of NBA superstar LeBron James, was rushed to the hospital on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest during a basketball practice session at the University of Southern California.

In a statement released by a family spokesperson, it was confirmed that Bronny had been hospitalized but is now in stable condition and out of the intensive care unit.

“Yesterday while practicing, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff acted swiftly and managed to treat Bronny before taking him to the hospital. We are relieved to inform everyone that he is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU,” the statement said.

The James family is requesting privacy during this difficult time, and further updates will be provided to the media when available.

LeBron and his wife, Savannah, expressed their gratitude to the USC medical and athletic staff for their prompt and dedicated response to the emergency, ensuring the safety and well-being of their athletes.

Bronny James, an incoming freshman for USC’s basketball team, recently graduated from Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles. As a four-star recruit, he showcased his skills at the prestigious McDonald’s All-American Game in March, impressing alongside some of the nation’s top high school basketball players.

Throughout his senior year of high school, the 18-year-old displayed remarkable talent, averaging 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.7 steals. Now, as he joins USC’s basketball team, they are aiming to secure their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
