Legendary Urhobo music maestro, Joseph Odjewhedje (aka Okpan Arhibo), is dead.
The Konojuvwe crooner, who hails from Agbarho kingdom in Ughelli North council area of Delta State, passed on Tuesday.
He died at 75 after battling a kidney ailment.
He was diagnosed in October 2021 and needed N20 million for a transplant.
Funds were raised to support the musician said to be receiving treatment until news of his death emerged on Tuesday morning.
He was a driver at the Delta Steel Company (DSC) Ovwian-Aladja before he resigned to face active showbusiness as a traditional musician.
Okpan made waves from the 70s until he went down with the ailment.
