Super Eagles Star, Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed that his club, Leicester City will strive to end their winless mark in the Premier League this season when they play against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Brendan Rodgers’ charges will look to get their season on track when they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night.
Recall that the Foxes are bottom of the table and are still searching for their first win of the campaign.
Defeat to Antonio Conte’s men could spell doom for Rodgers, who is under intense following the team’s poor start to the campaign.
However, Iheanacho believes the former Premier League champions can turn things around with a win in London.
It would be massive so, so massive for the Club and for everyone involved,” Iheanacho told LCTV.
“A win would give us the momentum to go forward this season. We need to defend as a team, attack as a team and just work hard as a team.
“We have been preparing very, very hard for this and hopefully it turns around this weekend. Training has been going quite well. The message has always been that we stick together whether we lose or win but right now we need to show character, hunger and desire.
“As players and as a team we know we can get the results we need, we showed that last season. So far this season, it’s just turned out the other way. We have great quality in this team, so we just need to believe in ourselves and get the points to get us back up there this season.”
