Chelsea Football Club have reportedly reached an agreement with Leicester City’s defender, Wesley Fofana
The Blues have been interested in signing the player since the start of the summer transfer window. Daily Mail confirmed that Chelsea and the 21-year-old have agreed on a deal. hHowever, the first two bids submitted by Chelsea to the foxes was rejected because they did not reach their valuation of the defender.
The manager of Leicester City, Brendan Rodgers confirmed this week in an interview that Chelsea submitted two bids for the player. He also affirmed that if there are interests from other clubs, they will of course take a look at the offer submitted.
Chelsea are looking to beef up their defence before the end of the transfer window as they are looking for a replacement for Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen who joined Real Madrid and Barcelona as a free agent. The London club has signed Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella from Napoli and Brighton.
