Lewandowski receives offers from Saudi Clubs to leave Barcelona
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has become a subject of intense interest for two Saudi Pro League clubs, Al-Hilal and Al-Shabab, as they look to secure the services of the prolific forward.
According to reports from El Nacional, Al-Hilal has already taken the initiative and reached out to Lewandowski’s representative, Pini Zahavi, to explore the possibility of a summer transfer. The club is eager to bring the Polish international to Riyadh after facing rejections from other high-profile targets like Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe earlier in the transfer window. Notably, Al-Hilal has been active in the transfer market, securing the signings of top players like Sergej Milinkovic Savic, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Ruben Neves this summer.
On the other hand, Al-Shabab is yet to make a marquee signing during this transfer window and seems determined to change that by making a substantial offer to Lewandowski. The club is reportedly willing to entice the striker with an eye-watering salary of €60 million per season, a sum that could be hard for him to resist.
Lewandowski’s journey at Barcelona began last summer when he made the switch from Bayern Munich in a €50 million move. The 34-year-old has since showcased his goal-scoring prowess, netting an impressive 33 goals and providing eight assists in 46 matches across various competitions for the Blaugrana. His contribution played a vital role in helping Barcelona secure the La Liga title and the Supercopa de Espana in his debut season with the club.
