Lizzy Jay cries out as video breaks internet

Renowned actress and comedienne, Adeyela Adebola, popularly known as Lizzy Jay or Omo Ibadan, has reached out to concerned Nigerians, urging them for their prayers and support after a video of her was circulated on the internet without her consent.

Taking to her verified Instagram page on Friday, September 15, Lizzy Jay provided an account of the circumstances leading to the unauthorized release of the video and requested understanding from her followers.

In her statement, the comic actress revealed that a blackmailer had gained access to her private video by hacking into her email. Despite the attempted extortion, she refused to negotiate, prompting the perpetrator to make the private video public.

She clarified that the video in question was a recording made for her doctor, meant to address a medical issue she was facing due to a reaction to a specific medication. Lizzy Jay stated that the video was over a year old and was intended for medical consultation. She had securely shared specific parts of the video with her doctor to seek medical advice.

Expressing her distress, Lizzy Jay emphasized that she had deleted the video immediately after its intended use and was shocked to find it shared without her consent.

The actress confirmed her intention to officially report the case to the appropriate authorities for a thorough investigation.

In her plea, Lizzy Jay requested prayers from the public and assured them that she would take the necessary steps to bring the culprit to justice, seeking to overcome this distressing episode.

The actress urged her fans and supporters to stand by her during this challenging time as she strives to navigate the situation and emerge stronger.
