Lobi Stars head coach, Eugene Agagbe, has maintained optimism regarding his team’s chances for the title despite their recent disappointing draw against Bayelsa United at home.
The Pride of Benue played to a 1-1 draw against Bayelsa United at the Lafia City Stadium in a Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter.
Agagbe acknowledged the setback but expressed determination to address the identified errors before their upcoming matches.
Speaking to Lobi Stars Media, Agagbe said, “Well, I will not say I am completely disappointed because it is part of the game. We defeated them (Bayelsa United) in their home. They came all out to play in this match to avoid another defeat.”
Expressing concern over a lapse in focus that led to conceding a goal, Agagbe refrained from blaming individual players. Instead, he emphasized the need to correct mistakes and focus on improvement for future matches.
He added, “I’m disturbed that we lost focus at that critical moment and conceded that goal. But I don’t like blaming players because the same players will give me good results tomorrow. Mistakes made would be corrected.”
