A middle aged man identified as ochiri Hilary, popularly known as Ochiri, claimed to be living behind the Och’idoma Palace, Otukpo was Saturday paraded by the Homeland Defence Volunteers and members of Docare foundation for child trafficking.
The man is said to have been sending children within the ages of 12 and 16 years to some of his cohorts in Ibadan for prostitution after which they will send them over to Ghana or any of the country for further prostitution.
Mr Ochiri, who accepted all the charges against him by some of the girls that where rescued by the homeland defence,he said this is how he has been surviving and there is a woman who is also into this business with him here in Otukpo, infact according to him, the woman introduced him to the business and he has been into it for some years now.
After series of interrogation, Mr ochiri was presented to Och’Otukpo Oduh, Chief John O. Eimonye who then handed him over to the police for onward investigation after he agreed perpetrating the act, saying some of his business partners are still at Ibadan.
