Looting: COVID-19 is glorified malaria, I warned Nigerians – Yahaya Bello

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has described coronavirus as a glorified malaria.

The governor said he warned Nigerians when it was imported into the country but they spurned his advice.

Bello was reacting to the ongoing looting of COVID-19 palliatives across the country.

Speaking on Channels TV on Tuesday morning, Bello said current protest is one of the consequences of the lockdown during the COVID-1.9

“When the COVID-19 which is a glorified malaria was imported into the country, I advised, I cautioned, and I warned that accepting the imported alien disease will have huge consequences on the long run but they never listened to the little voice from us.

“The current protest is one of the consequences of the lockdown during the COVID-19.”
