Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi III dies at 80

Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi III, the Maigari of Lokoja in Kogi State is dead. 

The monarch was pronounced dead by the Secretary, Lokoja traditional rulers council, Muhammed Nalado on Wednesday September 28th, 2022. 

The deceased monarch was one of the longest-serving traditional rulers in Kogi State, having ascended the throne in 1992, meaning he ruled for 30 years. 

He is expected to be buried on Thursday afternoon in Lokoja, Kogi State capital, in accordance with Islamic rites.
