Man caught stealing 11 cartons of ceramic wall tiles, iron rods two weeks after returning from prison in Otukpo

A certain Ojonye (surname withheld), a carpenter by profession has been arrested for invading a building sites in GRA Otukpo and catered away 11 cartons of ceramic wall tiles and 2 dozens of iron rods.
Ojonye, who was said to have been released from prison a week earlier after being remanded for involving himself in criminal related activity, was nabbed by members of the vigilante at Igbanonmaje after he was reported by residents who suspected his movement in the area.

He admitted stealing and selling them to dealers at cheaper rates.
However, the items were recovered from the dealers he sold them to and returned to the rightful owners.
One of the residents told our reporter that “We once caught the same person un-roofing a house at night some months back but we had to let him go scout free because we discovered that he had a broken leg which is yet to heal completely.”
