Man City star, Sam Edozie to exit club

British Nigerian forward Sam Edozie is set to move from English champions Manchester City to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Bayer Leverkusen are closing in on a move for the Man City Starlet on a permanent deal.

It is reported that Edozie will sign a two-year deal that will keep him at Leverkusen till the summer of 2024.

Edozie began his career in the youth system at Millwall before moving away and arriving at the 2018/19 Premier League champions Manchester City in July 2019 for a reported seven-figure fee.

The 19-year-old winger has impressed in City’s youth ranks but only has one senior appearance to his name.

Scoring in all the pre-season games for Man City in 2021/22, Guardiola showed good faith in the teenager and gave him a start in the Community Shield in the 1-0 loss to Leicester City.

Edozie was born in England to a Nigerian father and an English mother.
