Man dies as soakaway pit collapses in Delta.

A young man has reportedly died inside a collapsed soakaway pit at Karien Street in Okumagba layout, Warri, Delta State.

The offed immediately died as the pit collapsed inside a new compound built by a politician, according to the report.

Details of the incident is still sketchy as of the time of this report.

Policemen from “B” Division in Warri have evacuated the remains of the deceased and deposited same in a cortege.

The Divisional Police Officer “B” Division in Warri, CSP Kelvin Ziokumor in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent said one John Asotu incidented the matter at the station, saying the property where it occurred belongs to his niece.

As stated to CSP Ziokumor, they were working when the pit destroyed and killed the young man.
