Man dies mysteriously while hunting for bush meat in Benue community

A yet to be identified man from Gwer West local Area of Benue State has been found dead while hunting for bush meat.

Udam Samuel Aseer, who claimed to be a nephew of the victim, made the shocking revelation on his wall, Monday November 16th, 2020.

Below is an excerpt of the social media post:

“I DISCOVERED MY UNCLE DEAD IN THE BUSH TODAY

It’s unbelievable but who am i to question you O’Lord?

My Uncle, Mr. Chaa Aginde was at Aondoana town yesterday, 15th Nov, 2020 afternoon.

He went home (Tse-Anagbe, Aginde compound, Mbagór, Mbaliongu, Udam, Gwer-West) around 5:00pm.

He unbeknownst left the house around 7:00pm.

We didn’t saw him till today morning, 16th Nov, 2020.

When Chief Jombu Aginde informed me on phone call that Uncle Chaa Aginge got missing in the house, I confidently told him devil is a liar!

Very early, we embarked on a round tour within Mbaliongu & neighboring Masev communities.

Guest what?

We discovered him dead behind a nearby earth dam located after River Gwer (Aondoana-Mbalim, Masev direction), where he went to set his trap (iyough) to get bush meat as a hunter.

It’s unbelievable that Uncle, who jollificated aftnoon with friends at Aondoana town yesterday is no more today.

16-11-2020 is a day I’ll never forget.

With deep sense of sorrow but total submission of gratitude to Almighty God, I pray may God grant you eternal rest beloved Uncle.” He wrote.
