Man rescued from collapsed building in Ogun

In an incident in the Old Bank area of Ifo, within the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, a man identified as Seun miraculously survived a building collapse. The Ogun State Police command reported that Seun was successfully pulled from the rubble following the incident.

Omolola Odutola, the command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident and mentioned that the victim was promptly taken to Demark Hospital for medical attention.

She stated, “The victim is responding to treatment after being rushed to one Demark Hospital. The entire place has been closed off. We have also contacted the Local Government Authority to seal off the affected area,” as communicated to our correspondent via WhatsApp.

Reports suggest that the collapsed building had displayed signs of distress for a considerable period before it finally collapsed at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported. However, the victim was trapped under the fallen staircase for an extended duration before help arrived.
