Al-Nassr forward, Sadio Mane has disclosed the individual who influenced his decision to join the Saudi Arabian club.

Mane made the move to Al-Nassr from Bayern Munich in August for a transfer fee of €30 million. His time with Bayern, following a transfer from Liverpool, lasted just a year, marked by a serious leg injury and off-the-field issues.

Despite reported interest from several European clubs, including Chelsea, who were reportedly tracking him as early as April, Mane ultimately chose to join Al-Nassr. He has now revealed that it was his mother who encouraged him to opt for the Saudi side.

“My family encouraged me to come to Saudi Arabia, especially since it is a Muslim country,” Mane said (via EuroFoot).

“My mother was very happy and insisted that I chose Al-Nassr.”

Since joining Al-Nassr, Mane has embarked on his career with the club, forming a partnership in the attack alongside team captain Cristiano Ronaldo. The former Southampton star has already made a significant impact, netting five goals in six games across various competitions for Al-Nassr.
