Many people have been killed in a fatal crash that occurred on Thursday along Bauchi-Jos Road, The PUNCH reports.
Though the exact number of those that died in the crash is yet-to-be-ascertained, photos sent to our Correspondent from the scene of the incident showed four corpses lying on the ground.
According to reports, a Hummer Bus and a Sharon Bus were involved in the incident. It was learnt that one of the vehicles involved went up into flames and was still burning as of the time of filing this report.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Bauchi State, Yusuf Abdullahi, confirmed the incident to our Correspondent in a telephone interview.
He, however, said that the casualty figure is still unknown.
“Yes, there was an accident this afternoon around Buzaye town along Bauchi-Jos Road. As I speak with you, rescue operation by our men is ongoing at the scene of the accident.
“So, I cannot tell you the exact number of people killed. After the rescue operation, I’ll make details available to you,” Abdullahi said.
