Suspected Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday attacked four Villages across the South part of Borno State.
During the attack on Saturday, December 26, several houses, churches were set ablaze by the criminals.
Sources say that the assailants were also sighted a few kilometers to Biu town and other locations including, alade, shafa, azare, and yimirshika.
According to eyewitnesses, the insurgents reportedly rode in at least 10 Hilux vans; they were first seen around Mandara Dirau at about 1 pm.
The villages attacked are situated within Hawul and Shaffa Local Government Areas of the state.
As at the time of filing this report, residents of Tashsan Alade community said no military support has been deployed to the area since the shootings started around 5 pm.
The incident happened a few days after youths in the community protested and blamed the Nigerian Army for the recent Boko Haram attack in Garkida town.
