Many feared dead as Fulani, OPC clash in Ajase Ipo Kwara

Many persons have been reported dead in a crisis that ensued between Fulani and members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) in Ajase Ipo, Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State on Friday.

Daily Post reports that there were reports of gunshots while vehicles traveling through the highway were attacked by the warring parties.

Report said the fight started in Kaara market, Ajaase Ipo on Friday evening.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Kwara State, Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed the attack, said operatives have been drafted to the scene.

According to him, the number of casualties cannot be ascertained as at the moment.
