By Idah Ben

Several supporters and students have been reportedly injured after a fight that broke out during the grand finale of the Otukpo 2016 edition of the all secondary school games.
The match, which was scheduled to take place on Thursday 17th, November 2016 was postponed to Friday 18th November, 2016 as a result of a fight between supporters of the both team which led to the cancellation of the match.

One of the witnesses identified as John told IDOMA VOICE that, “some of the supporters of both teams came to the match venue with daggers, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons but hide them and brought them out immediately after a goal came from Odumu memorial secondary school against the leading Muslim community secondary school.
“The supporters alleged that the Muslim community secondary school team was made up of machineries, which gave their team an upper hand.”
A supporter of the Muslim community secondary school, broke his leg in the process while others sustained minor injuries.
Some of the organizers of the competition were arrested by men of the Nigerian police force who came to calm the situation.
