Many killed as herdsmen attack another Benue community

Suspected herdsmen on Monday night attacked another community in Benue State, leaving several persons dead.

IDOMA TV reports that the attacker strike in Udei town, headquarters of Nyiev ward of Guma.

It was gathered that the gunmen struck while residents were fast asleep, leaving unspecified number of people killed and several houses set on fire.

A Principal Special Assistant to Governor Samuel Ortom, Frank Utoo, confirmed the attack.

The attack came barely 24 hours after over hundred persons were murdered in the state by suspected herdsmen.
