The Mark Sports Foundation (MSF), promoters of the annual Mark‘d’Ball tournament, have kick started activities towards the successful hosting of this year’s sports- meets-entertainment fiesta.
This annual event which often features male and female basketball teams drawn from Benue, Nigeria and other West African countries also incorporates a Kiddies coaching clinic that draws hundreds of young children to the event to learn the rudiments of the game.
This year’s edition promises to be bigger and better than previous editions as more musical and comedy acts are lined up for this edition meaning the week long tournament will feature the very best A list artistes, actors, actresses, comedians and celebrities thrilling fans nonstop.
To promote attendance for this star studded event, the organizers have kick started promotional and sensitization activities towards the successful hosting of the year’s event. Top among the activities is the successful launch of the Mark ‘d’Ball web portal (www.markdball.org), which went live on 12th of November 2016. The web destination is the informational and promotional portal of the biggest basketball and entertainment tournament in the country.
The rejigged and reenergized markdball.org portal distills all 15years of mark ‘d’ ball events into a single online interface of news, images, videos, podcasts, live streams and social media feed. It also gives up to date breaking news about the upcoming tournament, scheduled to hold in Otukpo, Benue State from December 26-31st, 2016.
The Mark ‘d’Ball portal is a user friendly and easily navigable web property that chronicles the history of Mark ‘d’ Ball, throwing light on all activities that make up the event- like the male and female tournaments as well as the kid’s clinic, that grooms young’s kids to become future champions. It supports the rich narrative with more than 50,000 images pulled from various editions of mark ‘d’Ball and more than 5,000 videos from past editions.
The website also features several innovations like the Mark ‘d’ Ball Ambassadors, a collage of all celebrities, basketballers and public figures who have graced or associated with the tournament over the years. These Mark ‘d’ Ball performing artistes, like Tuface Idibia, Terry G, Ejike Ugboaja amongst many others have been part of the tournament in the times past, propagating the mark ‘d’ ball gospel to all four corners of the globe.
